Coding and billing are inextricably linked processes. Coding provides a common language for physicians to communicate their services to private payers, Medicare and Medicaid. Staff plays a critical role in ensuring the physician's work is efficiently and accurately billed. Because these process are each so important and so complex, ACFAS has developed a webinar that can help physicians and staff better navigate them.

Join ACFAS Coding Consultant Jackie Reiss-Kravitz, a Certified Procedural Coder and manager of a foot and ankle surgical office, and learn how every person in the billing and coding chain can better use CPT modifiers to ensure that you're getting paid appropriately for the services provided. This live streaming event includes:
  • - an overview of the correct use of all modifiers for foot and ankle procedures,
  • - discussion of the four new HCPCS modifiers to define subsets of the -59 modifier, used to define a "Distinct Procedural Service." These new modifier -59 subsets take effect January 1, 2015,
  • - answers to audience questions about specific coding and billing scenarios they've faced.
